How to disable autoplay in Windows XP
How to disable autoplay in Windows XP
Many things related to making Windows USB Flasdisk that we use sometimes have problems like viruses that damage the system. But a lot of ways to secure it as an appropriate use of good antivirus for local virus and virus from the outside.
When we plug something in the USB slot or laptop computer with Windows XP or Windows 7 Pop Up windows always appear to indicate whether your company will open its contents or later. But sometimes a direct file or a fancy term to be played by Windows Autoplay. This is probably going to bother us if you only want certain files to be opened.
the trick is
1. Click the Start button, then click Run.
2. Type gpedit.msc and click OK or press the Enter key on the keyboard.
3. After the Group Policy out, select the Administrative Templates, then select the System on the left.
4. Double-click Turn Off Autoplay on the right side of the Group Policy window.
5. Tick on Enable, then select the drive you want to disable Autoplay its facilities. Click All drives to disable the facility Autoplay on all drives in your PC or notebook.
6. Select the OK button to save these settings
In this way then you do not need to be bothered by the file is played automatically by Windows XP. To prove it, you try to insert a music CD or CD into the CD Room Video files from your computer or laptop. Autoplay system will not work anymore.
If you want the Autoplay system could work again, you simply repeat the steps above but change the setting from Enable to Disable or Not Configured.
May the above information can help a bit
